I have been growing these for a few years and found them almost impossible to kill. Staying evergreen they withstand frost and flood to give wonderful displays of flowers all summer. A good mid border plant that grows equally well in pots. Growing into clumps they can be split in autumn or spring once the plant is a few years old. Dead heading will prolong the flowering season attracting bees and butterflies all summer
