We have grown all our lavender from cuttings taken from hardy outdoor plants, all English varieties. Cutting them back harshly gives good bushy growth and should be done 2 or 3 times a year. These have all been outside for 2 years now. As you can see from the photos you will receive them at different stage of growth depending on what time of the year you buy. Digging in a bit of grit or gravel before planting will give the plant better drainage.
